Brooks World Poverty Institute (BWPI) at the University of Manchester

On 1 February 2006, Nobel Laureate Professor Joseph Stiglitz formally launched the BWPI at the 
University of Manchester with a public lecture focusing on the outcomes of the December 2005 WTO trade talks in Hong Kong, and their effect on economic development and poverty reduction efforts across the globe.
