Making Growth Inclusive: Opportunities, Scope and Challenges at the State Level

The National Convention on Making Growth Inclusive: Opportunities, Scope and Challenges at the State Level will focus on the three important themes:

• Sustainable Growth in Agriculture: Challenges and Alternative Perspectives
• Employment Scenario and Right to Work
• Effective Governance

The Convention will be administered by the Gujarat Institute of Development Research, Ahmedabad and the Chronic Poverty Research Centre. It will consist of state level panels, including scholars, policy makers, and functionaries of civil society organisations who would deliberate on the current scenarios and future strategies in a state specific context; and thematic sessions, based on presentations of 8 to 10 selected papers on the above themes.
